A friend of mine has a book he sells and his current publisher has gone downhill in a big way recently - the books are packaged so 2-4 get damaged with each shipment and the bindings are coming off when the customer opens the book for the first time.
Hopefully there is no minimum (right now he orders then in lots of 5 books at a time). If the company specalizes in animal books it would be a plus (the book is called "The Total German Shepherd Dog")
I'm sure cost of publishing each book will be a serious consideration to the author 9since he got defrauded of over $15K a few years ago).
He will also use this publisher for when he needs to have more copies of his canine orthopedics book printer (won't be for a while - he still has dozens in his house).
