Maybe you need a protection order. I know you don't want to hurt her or cause any trouble, but honestly this is just harassment.

I'm not a lawyer, and as always I reserve the right to be completely and embarrassingly wrong here, but I don't think a protection order would cover this. What it generally covers is the physical presence of the person who is the object of the order in regards to the person taking out the order, i.e., preventing Miss Tampon from being at Kara's work or home, for example. It does not stop legal maneuvers and accusations like this.

Now, Kara's lawyer probably could petition the court to issue a cease and desist order to Miss Tampon's lawyer if the judge believes these things are being done frivolously and without cause, i.e., just to fuck with Kara. I don't know, but it might be something to look into. But a protection order would be inapplicable to this situation, as far as I know.

When you're used to being told how horrible of a person you are, you tend to believe it.

I hope that your ex gets used to being told how horrible of a person she is, and I hope she starts believing it. It would be nice for her to deal with an actual truth for a change.

Another minor update. Got my copies of the answer my attorney sent for the divorce petition. Basically stating I agree to the common sense stuff (we live in town, we have children, we have debts), that I deny the two paragraphs stating that she is fit to be sole legal guardian of the children and that I should have no parenting time, and that I deny the paragraph stating she cannot pay her court fees at this time due to "poverty" because I cannot verify the state of her finances. I kind of like that last one. It's like lawyer-speak for "Oh really? Prove it."
