My band entered the New Mexico Music Awards with 4 songs in 4 different categories (Mainstream Rock,Adult Contemporary,Country & Americana....hey,we're versatile! 
) & a few days ago I decided to check out their site & see what's happening there.
To my suprise I see this:
WTF??? On ALL the stuff I sent in the band name Diamondback is prominently displayed,my name (along with our guitar players') is only on the engineer/mixer portion of the entry form & I'm listed as contact,the CDs only have the song title & band name.
My confusion is understandable,the embarrassment comes from the fact that it looked like I was tryin' to hog all the glory for myself,hell,I didn't write the songs,Paul did,I just helped arrange & record 'em.
I did send 'em an email & they fixed it: NMMA
I'm still curious as to why it happened,but I have an idea: I think I know the guy in charge of it & he knows me,if it's the same guy we've played together.I really don't know & don't want to.The Realtor in me is saying "Disclose! Disclose!" while our guitar player is tellin' me to Shut the Hell Up

Newcomers this year include drummer Fred Weldon, Becky Alter, Tash Terry, Poema, Cassie Rodgers, Paula Rhae McDonald and, flying in from London to record in Santa Fe, Chandler Clark.
