Not really an update, just sharing it because it involves someone who lives in the same building as I had -
The other day, my mom ran into "Meg", who's a fellow retired schoolteacher, and was kind of a downstairs neighbor when I'd moved into the one-bedroom apartment. They didn't get into a long conversation, but "Meg" did say that she intends to move out........partially because she's on a waiting list for an assisted living place, and while she didn't get into details, she did mention something about things falling apart around the complex, and that the caliber of people renting there has gone downhill.
