So, Life is getting more crazy for me right now. My step father's step father (Harold) is in the hospital. He will be having open heart surgery tommrrow morning. He is 88 years old.

The docs says 5 more years with surgery but 6 months no surgery.

So we have had to rearrange schedules for the next week. My step father cannot help watch the kids. He will be at the farmhouse taking care of his grandmother. (in her 90's) His grandmother lives with his mom and needs looking after.

Did I mention that it is 28 days till my wedding? Making things a little more crazy for me. I have errands to run and sewing to do and cleaning to do. It will be harder without my stepfather helping.

Right now I have "help" from my toddler. I just hope Harold has an easy recovery.

I'm surprised they're performing open heart surgery on an 88-year-old man... That's not something you'd normally hear. (Not saying they shouldn't, it's just surprising).

Sorry everything's snowballing on you Hopefully things will calm down before you start tearing your hair out! I remember how stressful prepping for my wedding was.

Make sure you take any second, minute, hour that you get to yourself and cherish it. Find and make some "me" time whenever possible, even if it's just a bubblebath or a good magazine.

He went into surgery an hour ago. They say it will take four hours. Will keep you posted.

And yeah am very surprised they would do surgery.

He came out of surgery just fine. took 6 hours. I enjoyed sitting with my cousins and keeping grandmas mind off things.

Apparently grandma forgot to inform the Dr's of a prior heart condition. Something with en enlarged heart. So his perineum was stuck to his heart and had to be dissected off. Took them two hours to do that.
