  • Stuff to do in Oklahoma City

My husband and I are going to a friend's wedding in Oklahoma City in September, and we're thinking of spending a few days there as a little mini vacation. So we're looking for stuff to do in/around the city. So far, our friend has suggested:

    The Zoo
    The Museum of Art
    The Museum of Osteology
    OKC Memorial
Toy & Action Figure Museum in Paul's Valley

Also, does anyone know what the weather is like in early September there? Our friend said it's "really hot and humid" but we live in San Antonio, so we already deal with "really hot and humid" in the summer anyway.

Oh oh oh! I'll come and meet ya!

September can be either hot and humid or cold and cloudy. Chances are it will be hot though.

The zoo is great, we've got a new local wildlife and elephant habitat. It's mostly outdoor though, so if it's really hot, you may not want to do that.

Museum of Art is really neat, even my kidlets love it and they're still young'uns.

I have been to the Memorial, but not the memorial museum that they have on site. I hear it's really nice though.

If you're into western art, the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum is really cool. Also I have to recommend the Myriad gardens and crystal bridge. It's a huge indoor tropical garden. Although, it is kinda warm and humid in there too.

Have you guys thought of places to eat? I can think of tons of delicious local eateries.
