  • Getting Ticked Off

I live on a fairly large property and my property is a popular camping and fishing spot, I allow my friends to come and fish, also my next door neighbour.

Lately I've been getting strangers wanting to camp out for the night, apparently the previous tenant allowed any tom, dick and harry come out and fish.

I said yes to the first 2 people, the second guy has screwed it up for everyone now by throwing his rubbish in the river and not putting out his fire (you wouldn't treat your own home like that, why would you treat someone else's badly?)

So now I've started charging people to come out $40 for the night, one guy rang last night and talked to the hubby about camping over night, the guy offered him a carton of beer as pay but hubby told him to ring me today and talk to me (Hubby and I don't drink beer) so it's going to be $40, if he wants to fish that bad he'll pay up.

I rent the entire land and I will not have people coming and disrespecting it, if it was in the middle of summer and that fire was going the whole bushland could have gone up in flames and it would be really hard to stop.

So they're really pissing me off.

You have every right to be ticked off. I'm ticked off for you! One of my pet peeves on my long list of pet peeves is people disrespecting the land by throwing their trash on the ground and/or trying to burn the place down like it's their God given right.

I don't blame you for being mad. Some folks have no respect for nature, or even other people's property.

Is there someone you could report them to (rangers, police)? A hefty fine for littering and leaving a campfire burning might get through their thick skulls.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

The guys came out and they paid for 2 nights, woohoo, extra $80 for me, we're also selling 4 of our baby goats, the guy is picking them up on the weekend, he wants them young so he can train them and have them as pets, my kids don't want them to go
