  • Puppy!

My SO and I are now the proud parents of a cute little puppy. OK, maybe not so little. The next door neighbors' dogs had puppies recently. Said puppies kept getting out of their yard and visiting ours. On one of my SO's trips to return them he informed the owners that if they got out again, he was claiming one.

Long story, short when I called him that evening to see if I needed to pick anything up after work, he told me to get puppy food and maybe a couple toys.

Little Shien is a mixture of, we think, pit bull, retriever, doberman, and German shepherd. According to the SO, she has all the brains of a retriever with the stubbornness of a pit bull.

Oh, bless your soul. Retrievers (and labs) are the dumbest "smart" dogs that there are. Luckily they're pretty trainable, but no common sense.

Unfortunately, I don't have a camera at the moment. Once I get one or get access to one, I'll post some pictures. And yeah, she can be pretty dumb at times. Although, it's amazing how quickly her brains turn back on when there's food involved.

Clearly you haven't dealt with beagles.

Nope. Wouldn't want to, either, those things are *noisy*.

They are only noisy when anyone or anything is remotely near our property. Or when there is food. Or when it's dinner time.

                  That's a way to get a puppy.

                  And yes, we need pics.
