No, not in a really good way.
Last night when my wife came home with Pollux, Luna got really excited (as usual) and jumped over the 3' x-pen (to keep her away from Kiri's crate) to get to the back door to greet them.
There wasn't much room and in her Tasmanian Devil impression she had knocked over, and broke, a full, LARGE glass jar of peppermint extract.
Downstairs smelled like we were living in a giant candy cane. While I normally don't mind peppermint, it was to the point of our eyes were watering and our sinuses were clean as a whistle.
While cleaning it my socks got soaked with it and after a few minutes I could feel it on my skin (you know how peppermint tastes? Imagine feeling that though your feet!!). We had fans going, the AC cranked, 3 incents, and 5 candles going last night. It didn't help much. All day I could smell peppermint and thought I reeked of it (even though I had taken a shower and was wearing clean clothes).
The towel and my socks are in the laundry now with a TON of soap and borax along with a couch cover that a certain someone who shall remain nameless (COUGHCOUGHZORROCOUGHCOUGH) decided to lift his leg on the other night.
Hopefully the peppermint smell will be gone soon.
