  • What is the best amp for heavy metal?

    Peavey Valveking or Peavey 6505+?

My brother would know the answer. Getting him to answer is the problem. I can send him a text and see if he'll respond. I personally have no idea; he's the musician. I just play the radio.

Bro plays bass and sometimes guitar in an alternative band but was always a metal fan, so I trust his opinion: "6505 will be better and louder, Valveking is nice all around amp, tho. The VK112 IS NOT loud enough. The VK212 IS ALMOST loud enough. The VK HEAD is ok, but the 6505 prob a better choice."
          Direct quote, emphasis all his.

My boyfriend's band's guitarist said: ' The best one for breakdown type of metal (like winds of plague/for today) and all that other fun stuff is the Peavey 5150. The 6505 is pretty good too but it gets more of a polished sort of guitar sound. Its not as raw as the 5150. It really depends on what theyre playing.
If it were up to me I would get the 5150 just to make it easier lol.'
