That was a pretty clean picture, compared to the real deal! There was a ROPE of slime hanging down. I'm not entirely sure it didn't break in half while I was handling it, between the slime, the debris, and my state of stunned confusion, it's hard to say. We had a piece of pine straw and some dirt and leaves involved before I was able to clear it up enough to get a good look at it.

The length I ended up with was about as long as one of my fingers, and I had the head end. It apparently doesn't hurt them to break apart, being flatworms the pieces just turn into more flatworms.

Having never seen one of those before, I'd have been running around screaming and flailing for a bit. I like weird nature, but not when it's touching me uninvited.
