We shared classes for four years in High school. Always sat next to one another, had the same interests (games, reading, rock music, more games, more rock music, preferring to stay sober...), and eventually asked each other out (at the same moment no less).

We were together for nearly three years (16-18), everyone that knew us considered us inseperable. The week before I was going to propose to her, a drunk driver decided to see how well a human body could be used as an impromptu bumper test. She died on impact.

    I've been single since.

I met AdvancedFlea on.... a porn site. Well, I'm not actually sure, is y!Gallery considered a porn site? It is? GOOD!

Met him in 2006 when I was reading some of his fiction. Commented, talked, fought, bickered, spent two years or so just annoying the living SHIT out of each other (we've spent many a night just saying FUCKING HATE YOUR STUPID ASS to each other), then woke up one day BAM! head over heels I'll-kill-anyone-you-want-me-to in love.

        Still haven't met face-to-face.

Depends on if you mean spouse or not . If not, it was on this very sight. She contacted me (me being the shy type). Its been less then a year, but feel like I've known her forever.
That's funny, I met mine on this very site as well.... From reading his posts I decided that he sounded such a great guy and plucked up the courage (being also the shy type) to message him. Every day, I'm thankful that I did.

I was working in the piano & organ store at the mall when I see a rather nicely filled-out pair of pants bent over one of the pianos. So I amble over (she says I hit my shins at least twice on benches & thought it was cute) & see this cute blue-eyed brunette with bangs & glasses (she also had a nicely filled-out shirt ).

She ended up staying for 2 1/2 hours 'til I closed the store, then we had a drink at the bar in the mall.A couple of nights later we had our 1st real date.....at the circus.

That set the tone for the relationship from there on in .We moved in together 2-3 weeks after that & got married 9 months later.

We celebrated our 31st anniversary last month

Probably gonna sound like an asshole when I say this, but my boyfriend is my ex's best friend and I left my ex for him. I got to know BF a little when I was dating Ex, but not a lot. Then I sent him some stupid website email thing and soon after we began talking online and emailing. He was also my sounding board because my ex treated me like crap.

After a lot of arguing with my ex who refused to accept my leaving him and him threatening to kill BF, I left him and began seeing my guy. Ex and BF made up and are best friends again and me and my ex are friends again too. We've been together for six years and I love that big hairball. Just hope he's not too pissed when I tell him I don't want to get married - he already hates that I don't want kids. Nothing against him...I just don't have a very high opinion of marriage, that's all. Besides, I love what we have now and I see no need to change it - IMHO, becoming a legally-bound couple will not make me love him more.

**Note: Not to say others shouldn't get/be married - I just personally know it's not something I want to do in my life, that's all. Just clarifying.

I'm finally home at a reasonable hour and I can type this out.

when we first met my GF was the aerial instructor at the circus group I train at, we got to talking now and then, I discovered she lived on my way home so I offered to give her a lift home after training each night, we got to talking, after much suggesting and badgering I managed to gett her to come to the medieval fair, where I literally threw her over my shoulder and carried her back to the campfire. (Did I mention I was a viking?) we spent the night snuggling and it went from there. Although I believe I sealed the deal when I made her a Baileys chocolate cheesecake.

I met my fiance in middle school, on the last day of eighth grade, through a mutual friend, T. We ended up going to the same high school, never really spoke much but had several classes together. Fast forward to the last month and change of high school..we both ended up going on a school trip together. he ended up sitting next to me on the bus, and we started talking. I found out that he worked for the mcd's that I had gotten hired at the month before, and our friendship is renewed. That winter, our restaurant had a dance and he asked me if 'I planned to go..I said yes, and he went and bought his ticket..We started dating that night, and December 4th will be our five year anniversary

I met my hubbie in high school, we got together our junior year. I was on the bus and he sat next to me and pointed at my face while exclaiming: "You have a zit on your face!" I called him a jerk and we just became friends from there. Eleven years later, we're still happy as can be! He's still obnoxious but I love him.

This is going to be long, but I love this. My husband and I had met and had our paths cross several times beforehand, but we never realized it.

First encounter was when I just moved to WV...I had gone to a local comic book store, where he was at, and shopped around. Later that night, while we were at a restaurant, him and his comic book store buddies came in, and the store owner came over to chat with me. He said he remembered looking at me and going "whoa, a girl geek!" He didn't want to try and chat with me as I was with my family.

Then, after I got a job at a bookstore there, we had the Highly Amusing OMGIKEELYOU Event. I was saving up for a special edition leatherbound copy of Hitchhikers Guide. I had just gotten paid, and was running to go cash my check. We were down to one copy, and to quote myself "meh, I'll leave it on the shelf, not like someone's going to come here in the ten minutes I'm gone and buy it."

Guess who bought it. I raged about that for YEARS, and had no idea it was him.

Another time was when one of his friends was being all creepystalkerish on me. Guy started out nice, and then went from friendly to scary in sixty seconds flat. I blocked him after he sent me an email detailing his dream he had of "stabbing me with a screwdriver" and how it turned him on. He said he remembered his friend telling him how he'd met some girl, and he was gonna bring her to meet the guys.

Then, yet ANOTHER one of his friends came up to him and said "Dude, there's this geeky girl who works at the bookstore. She's freaking AWESOME, I'm gonna try and ask her out, and bring her here to meet you guys!" Hubby says he distinctly remembers laughing at him, and thinking at the same time that drat, his buddy had gotten to me first, but that he'd have to swing by and check me out sometime. (Eventually, this friend ALSO went to creepy, and was banned from the mall for sexual harassment. Not to me, thankfully.)

We ended up going to the same college together as well. This was HUGELY weird, since there's like six major colleges in the area. He worked in the comp lab, where I hung out all the time, but mostly with a guy friend of mine. He said he always wanted to talk to me, but was nervous that my friend...might be my boyfriend.

The final push of fate came when one of his female friends spotted me in the hallway reading Eragon. We struck up a conversation, and she pretty much ended up getting us to finally meet. She even set us up on a date after a few months, and true love hit us both.

First night we hung out together, we played 100 matches of Soul Caliber, and I jokingly told him "Ok, so you're gonna marry me now, right?"

About a year later, he proposed to me with a copy of Kingdom Hearts 2, and I totally said yes. Our fifth anniversary is coming up in about three weeks.
By popular request....I am now officially the Enemy of Normalcy.
