So Saturday I dyed my bangs again. And this time they came out like I wanted them to.
My hair is naturally a dark blonde or medium brown.
Last time I bleached my hair and then dyed my bangs purple. My bangs turned out a lavender or pink color.
This time I did not bleach my hair and just dyed the bangs.

I've gotten a lot of people telling me the pink looked better.
I like the purple better.
Opinions?

The second pic isn't great cause the sun was so damn bright I was squint behind my sunglasses.

*le sigh* I have to face facts. I look better with bleach blonde hair and red hair. Both of which require massive upkeep. Especially with darkish roots.

Me, I'm so low maintenance that it's bothersome to wash my hair. don't worry, I do every other day. I don't know how you ordinary folk keep up with stuff like that...

What do you mean both. Sorry if I'm completely missing something. It 2:40 ish am and I'm exhausted but can't sleep (as usual).

First picture. You definitely need to keep to the cool colors, no yellow-based or warm colors. (You're a cool). Weird how we have the same eye color, but you're a cool (ash blonde, beige-pink skin) and I'm a warm
(red-gold brunette, yellow-peach skin).

I actually like the colors in the second one. My only ...concern I guess is that purple is a high maintainance color. It fades fairly quickly into a rather icky sort of grey, so would need to be redone every month or so. Well, the ones I used when I was into dying my hair did.

ditto. I love the purple but yeah it fades quick while the pink doesn't....

If the purple goes grayish I'm just gonna bleach my hair. I do have color protecting hair products and I know they will only do so much.

And just to clarify: the pink in the first pic and the purple in the second are the exact same dye. The bleach just caused it to turn out brighter.

You could always try the combo of blond with dark purple bangs (don't bleach the bangs part when you bleach the rest). The most important part though is what you prefer. Whatever you think looks best is going to give you more confidence when you have it. Even if someone told me that I look bad with an eyebrow ring, I'd still be determined to have one because having one makes me more cheerful (I smiled every time I caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye).

Very cool idea. And I do prefer the purple. But I also do like the bleach blonde.

I've gotten mine done twice now. The first time it was rejecting and the second time it was maybe doing better but then I had surgery and had to take it out and it closed up too quick to put it back in. Hopefully third time is a charm.

I like the first pic better, but I'm not sure it's the colors. I like the way your hair is styled better, because I hate the way ruler straight cuts look. For colors, I second the idea of bleached blond with the dark purple.

No, I agree. I like my hair when it's a bit messy. That pic was taken to send to my bf. Idk why my hair is being so annoyingly straight recently. That's one reason I said I need to get a better pic.
