This involves the jerky neighbor I've posted about before.
Recently I came home from work and found all our mail stacked inside our screen door. Our one neighbor told me that she had come home from work and found our mail scattered all over the cul-de-sac. This is the third time it's happened within the cul-de-sac (the other two were separate neighbors, not all just our household).
The thing is, we have a locking mailbox. The postman has access to one big door on one side and then we each have a key to just our box on the other. So it can't be that someone is getting into the box. What we think is happening is that the mail is being accidentally put in this guy's box (which happens) and instead of doing the neighborly thing and putting it on our doorstep or handing it to us, or hell, just putting it on top of the box, he is throwing it out in the street.
What I want to know is, would calling the Post Office and asking them to be more careful where they put the mail help? One reason I think it wouldn't is that it's not like the Post Office wants to make mistakes--that's why they're mistakes. On the other hand, if they were aware there was a problem maybe they would be more careful. Thoughts?
