  • Informal Doctor Who Poll (Male Pig Version)

My apologies to the ladies, and I'm sure someone can start the male version of this, but....

Of the various female companions on Doctor Who, who would you most like to sleep with?

    Rose Tyler?
    Martha Jones?
    Donna Noble?
    Amy Pond?
    Dr. River Song?

My apologies to anyone who thinks I am ignoring the Companions from the older series, and feel free to throw some of those ladies name into the ring, but I am completely unfamiliar with them, having pretty much never seen an episode pre-Eccleston. (I do know who Sarah Jane Smith is/was, but only because of her appearances in the new Whos. And from what I've seen, she was quite the lovely young woman herself.)

I have made no secret of my complete enthrallment with Amy. Of course, it is also no secret that I have a major "thing" for redheads, but I'd really like to believe that it goes beyond just that for me.

But yeah, I'm "in the Pond," so to speak.

    Where are YOU?

Outside of just simple attraction, I have to say that I think River Song would be the most interesting But Amy is probably the most adorable and probably much less hazardous to a person's health. Rose and then Martha after that if I were to put them in an order.

Definitely Amy. I didn't even have to think about it, or try to dredge up the older companions from watching Who as a kid, Amy wins hands down.

The fact that she's a feisty and adorable redhead with pale skin cause her to win.

(Also, I just bought a sonic screwdriver. Giggling like a schoolgirl whenever I use it).

The Husband claims Victoria was the hottest companion (2nd Doctor). I think Sarah Jane was cute but have to go with Leela (4th Doctor) for hotness.

Leela is hawt, agreed, but I'd be a little nervous around her. Besides, she's taken.

I always thought Jo Grant was damn cute, but she's taken too. How many of the Companions are still single, anyway?

Jester, I agree with you about Amy. Redhead and Scottish. A winning combination.

Plus, she looks smoking hot in those mini-skirts of hers.

And, to prove that I'm not completely shallow, I love her personality too. I hope she remains the Doctor's companion for many more years to come.

Dr River Song, oh yes please. Hello Sweetie, curly hair - perfect.

Despite the red head love and how much I enjoy an accent, Amy doesn't really do it for me. She's cute, but no. Of the rest I'd only sleep with Donna.

                    Come along, Pond.

Amy's my first choice, though Sarah Jane and Ace are two good ones, too.

I was asking who you would most like to sleep with. Their status is not important. After all, last I checked, both Amy and Rose were taken. So what? As I heard over 20 years ago, "The barbed wire fence does not obstruct the view."

I have to address all of these, in a different order.

First, yes, the skirts work. There's a reason The Doctor has referred to her at least on one occasion as "Legs." (The Nixon Oval Office.)

As for the personality, hell yes. Personality can and does make people more or less attractive. Hell, with Donna it is ONLY her personality that makes her attractive to me, as frankly, redhead or not, physically she really doesn't do much for me.

As for the looks, personality, and accent? Amusingly, Amy is best summed up for me in a single word she uttered. When The Doctor is changing clothes before going to the roof to chastise the Atraxi, after Rory comments about him so doing, The Doctor brushes it aside, saying to look away if it embarrasses them. Rory does so, and upon noticing that Amy is not turning, asks, "Aren't you going to look away?" And Amy, in her feisty, stubborn, Scottish way says simply, "No." But there is so MUCH in that single word. To me, that single word, the way she says it, really sums up her whole character. Don't believe me? Watch that part of that episode again.

The first time I saw that was when I fell in love with Amy Pond.

Yes, she was hot, but I don't count her, as we barely got to know her, and technically speaking, she IS the Tardis. Others can count her if they want--who am I to make so many rules--but for me, no.

I'm not sure at what precise moment I developed a crush on Amy, but I do know that the scene you mentioned made me like her at the very least, and made me glad that she was going to be the new companion.

The Doctor needs someone who can keep him on his toes, and Amy proved in that episode that she's perfect for the job.
