Another one that used to do it for me but no longer does is Rachael Ray, from early in her career, when we only knew her from Thirty Minute Meals. (I think she was also doing Forty Dollars a Day at the time, I but I really didn't pay that much attention to that show.)

I used to have a huge crush on Rutger Hauer years ago, these days I prefer the quirky looks of celebs like Skeet Ulrich, David Caruso & for some very odd reason, Steve Gibson!

Never did see the attraction of the popularly good looking ones like Brad Pitt/Johnny Depp etc.

If she's someone else, nevermind. (I have seen a total of 2 episodes of that show....the first one, after which I gave up on the show, and the one with Abby Sciuto, because, well, it had Abby....and that episode confirmed to me that giving up on that show was a pretty good idea.

The other side of the coin are people you know everyone but you considers them smoking hot, and while you can acknowledge that they are beautiful by the common standards of beauty, they simply do not register on your radar for whatever reason.

Like for me, for instance, Brad Pitt. Just too damn pretty. And the kid that plays Jason on True Blood. Just too damn dumb (I'm sure the actor is not really that much of a cement head). I don't think I'm alone in the idea that it's the whole package, and some of what you can't see that makes them look gorgeous to you.

Oh, I just thought of someone ya'll are gonna laugh at me over: I'm hot for the Crabman (Eddie Steeples). I mean, google him. He's adorable. He's smoking hot. I don't even care about the unfortunate hair in My Name Is Earl. If anything, the strangeness of it adds to my attraction.

The man's hot. I'm not ashamed to say it.

Yup.
Hollywood Homely is not exactly what I think the op is aiming for... just people who are actors that are unconventionally attractive, not 'just' a pretty person made 'ugly.'
But yeah, I was basing my considerations off of "okay, this person when I mention he is hot, I get strange looks. Therefore, not everyone thinks he's amazing." Granted, there probably more actors (men and women) that are 'attractive' to me, but I can't think of right now.
