My friend's moving to Alberta

Chestermere, Calgary, to be exact. He's been job-searching for 10 months and finally got a city planning job there. America, -1 Canada, +1 Does anyone have any advice for making the transition?

Yeah, move to BC instead haha. Alberta is great for money, but I miss the mountains. Also, as of September 1st this year, AB has a new Distracted Driving law coming into effect.
This covers not only cellphones, but anything that the officer FEELS is distracting to that person. It's all up to the officers discretion.
Eg. eating a burger, texting, makeup, lap dogs, anything.
Keep it in mind because the fines are steep.
