  • What are you meant to be doing right now?

I am the world's greatest procrastinator! Seriously, if I can put off stuff until later, I will.

So what are you meant to be doing at the moment?

I'm meant to be sewing £ signs onto bags for our show in Edinburgh next week.
I am actually reading CS posts and watching The Jeremy Kyle Show (Brit version of Jerry Springer with less fights)

I feel a little bit guilty, but I know I'll get it done before I have work this evening... honest!

I am actually the Patron Saint of Procrastination, thank you very much.

I still have a metric shit ton of cleaning up to do here, as well as bringing in the metric shit ton of clean laundry that is in my truck...which I really can't do until I finish up the cleaning I just mentioned.

I also need to clean the swamp the bathroom that I share with Mr. Anti-Social.

And re-organize the kitchen a bit.

But at least I did get the info of off my phone that I needed to get off before I go get the replacement unit (my phone's keyboard is going to shit, so I'm getting a new unit under my insurance plan). Which is good, as some of it is very important, and some of it is just crap I wanted. (Screen savers, ring tones, and notes in my notepad won't transfer over, though my contacts will, and my photos are on my memory card.)

And now I can procrastinate no more...time to get moving if I want to get to work on time.

So you should be pounding away, but not on the keyboard?

It's after sunrise here, if the Wasatch werent in the way, and I've go assorted lawnmowing and karaoke library ungefukketing.

Seriously, people, you wouldn't believe how many ways there are to spell & order "Newton-John, Olivia"... and at least 4 different single quote characters: plain, acute, grave and Whacintosh.

          Taking a quickie-shower.
          Cleaning up the Cab.
          Eating lunch.
          Eating BREAKFAST.

What am I doing now? Sitting in my PJs, reading CS, while my leg is falling asleep (ow ow OW!).

Pffft. I am the queen, empress, goddess, and anything else you can think of (TM) of Procrastination. I wrote the BOOK on procrastination...or would have, if I hadn't put it off.

Anything but still lying in bed at one in the afternoon, I'm pretty sure...but it's fun. And I'm sleepy. So there.

                I'll get around to it.

I just barely dressed about thirty minutes ago. It's almost 5 p.m. now.

I should be getting my records together to meet with the money man tomorrow to see what I can afford to do as far as moving. I have most of it...

I'm reminded of the B.C. comic strip where the kid ant says "Dad, what's procrastinate mean?" and the dad says "I've been gonna look that up."*

*Probably paraphrased cuz I can't find the actual comic strip

                        You'll search for it......

                        later.

Haha...I did search, actually. I found a comic archive but it's just listed by date and I have no idea when it was published. There's a small chance I have it in my desk somewhere...but I won't be looking for it.

Dad, what do 'ignorance' and 'apathy' mean?

                            I don't know, and I don't care.

I should be doing pretty much what I am doing: looking after my body and psyche. Though I do need to get some food.

                            1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
                            2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
                            3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
                            4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.
