  • OMFG Why is this so hard???

SO frustrated I think my head is going to explode.

All I wanted to do was find ONE internet site where I could have a t-shirt printed as a birthday gift. I could not find ONE site that included:

    Women's t-shirts larger than a 2X
    AND
    that takes PayPal
    AND
that has the specific design I wanted - a simple pair of wings (angel wing type).
    AND
lets you order only one shirt.

Every. Single. Site. I found has one or two of those options, but NOT all four on the same site. AAARRGHGHHGHHH!!!!!

another option would be to buy a plain tshirt that's the size you want and make a screen print of angel wings on it it would probably cost you the same and be alot less stressful

Have you tried Cafepress or Zazzle? You'll have to track down the shirt design yourself, but then you can custom-order just one shirt (if you so desire) with that design on it. I just checked both sites, and it looks like Cafepress goes up to 3x and Zazzle up to 6x in shirt sizes. They're my go-to sites for getting single-item custom work done, since they don't require bulk purchases (though you'll usually get a discount for bulk orders).

Cafepress's shirts can seem a bit on the thin side (having purchased one from them before), but they're still good for repeated wearing. I have yet to order a shirt from Zazzle, but the quality on their other products that I've ordered is outstanding, and I tend to prefer them.

I tried Zazzle. The women's shirts only go up to 2X, which might be OK but might not. Women's clothing differs so much you can never tell unless you have the item in hand to try on. Men's shirts are usually not cut wide enough in the hips, even the larger sizes. Cafepress gets locked up every time I try it. They don't have the design I wanted, anyway.

I have no idea how to go about screen printing something like that myself. I'm going to see if there's anyone here in town that does this, but they have to be reachable by bus.

The most annoying thing is that I found a site once that had the right design, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it now.

        ETA: Found it! Spreadshirt.com

They have exact measurements for both men's & women's shirts. Gonna sneak into her room and measure one of her shirts, and go from there. My b-day presents have to be surprises, dammit!

Ah, I'm sorry the Zazzle women's sizes don't go high enough. I usually go with men's shirts if I need something larger, or if my design doesn't come in women's shirts, but my hips are no wider than my shoulders. As for Cafepress, I'm not sure why it would lock up on you, but it works like Zazzle in that if you have an account, you can put your own design on a shirt and buy one. If you can find the image you want somewhere, or draw it/have someone draw it for you, you can put it on yourself.

I'm glad you found a site that might work, though!

I found exactly the wings I wanted on spreadshirt! Long story...but I'm trying to duplicate a shirt my sister saw somewhere that she really, really wanted. I think I've done it but we'll know in a couple of days when it gets here....her birthday is Sept. 1st.
