Mytical - I'm six foot two myself. I've earned the gentle giant reference aswell. I think it's as much your personality, and the fact that anyone (who matters) notices you straight away, in a good way.

Reading your posts, and seeing the replies, I beleive you are a good person (as in, genuine, loyal etc). You do matter, and dont ever forget that

      Hope you're feeling better.

What steps are you taking to combat your depression?

I am all too familiar with those voices in the wee hours - nasty liars... I'm usually fine during the day since I try to stay busy. But as soon as I slow down, they start. When I walked an hour a day, I felt so much better emotionally and mentally: no insomnia, nor excessive worrying/anxiety.

      Take care of yourself.

Just taking one day at a time. Learned a long time ago that any anti-depressants I take are worse then the disease. I've tried them all (or just about) and they all have one thing in common. When I take them..yeah I am no longer depressed..I make Attila the Hun look like a boyscout. No clue why, but not depressed me is kinda evil. Not in a fun way either.
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

I have to agree with what everyone else is saying. You're a decent human and huge contributor to society, and to people on here.

I don't think I saw anyone mention volunteering....have you tried that? I do some with the local grange hall and when I got really depressed after my oldest daughter moved out having that in place already helped a lot.

That's good news about the unemployment and I'm sure things will pick up...they always do
