  • are we still playing in a sandbox?

    random question - does a guy pulling on / playing with your hair still mean
    "giggle giggle i like you, but don't know how to approach you, giggle snerk" ??

    The gentleman in question was not rude about touching my hair, and yes i tugged (gently) back on his hair that hangs past his butt (he is easily 6ft tall, and rather long in the torso.... we are talking at least 4 ft of hair)

    I also called him out on it, I asked him if I had ever done the same to him (which i have not) then admitted to really wanting to.... he has 4' of hair!!!!!!!

    he is an acquaintance, though I would like for us to be better friends (and more if possible ) and I'm sure he had overheard me talking to another friend about the [sarcasm] fabulous situation with my ex [/sarcasm].... so just trying to cheer me? or passive flirting? (I don't get passive flirting - I'm about as subtle as nuke .... )

    it is quite possible that he is trying to flirt with you. Does he spend a lot of time around you? He might be a little nervous to tell you that he is interested in you.
    If you are interested in him then you might have to say something to him about it.
    I was like that when I started talking to my woman. I liked her but I didn't have the courage to come out and tell her that I was attracted to her. Thankfully she made the first move and we have been together for over four years now.

      Like I said - we're only acquaintances, - we mostly see each other at the coffee shop;
      I used to occasionally go to his band's gigs, but I haven't heard of any recently (though he did get a giddy smile on his face when he saw me at one....)

      I have heard rumor through mutual friends that I'm not his "type"... physically anyway... so I don't feel much like making a move - i all too often end up being the one that makes a or the move...

        It sounds like you're his type currently. I say go for it. It's better to make a move, even if it doesn't work out, than to wonder.
