As of now it is 27* out Friday is supposed to be close to 50*, here comes the pineapple express. We got over 12" of snow and it is going to rain all weekend. The streams are going to be the the problem, all that melt and rain.

I saw the pics. That is some fantastically awful ice! And you're getting more snow? Hope you can stay inside and keep warm! (The ice storm missed us...I do not envy your position down there!)
*looks out window* yup snowing again. and we have been keeping warm. I made brownies and currently having hot apple cider.

Have friends in Oregon that are now dealing with flooding from the snow they got earlier in the week. I am not looking forward to the warm up this weekend.

It was a balmy 3 degrees, more or less, in lovely Shawano County today.

The high today is a single digit, but by Sunday it's supposed to be 30. Wild swings this year.

-2 here but I'm sure it feels much much colder...and I get to go out to go to work in this bitterness. Joy of joys. Ah well...better than having to fight the snow tomorrow! ETA: Winter storm warning from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow for heavy snow. Once I get home from work tonight I am NOT leaving for the entire weekend. Great weekend to have off!

But Mommy always said it's good to share!
So does that mean that Jester and I should share in our lovely warm weather?

Of course I'll be complaining in 5 or so months time when it starts raining everyday

Hey, much love to y'all in the PNW, but could you do me a favor and keep your stuff to yourselves? The system that's hitting you now is heading toward me for Friday. Ah well...Good thing I have this coming weekend off. Four to six inches of snow on Friday..upwards of 8 in northeastern Iowa. Joy of joys. Oh and as for tomorrow? Wind chill advisory. Wind chills will get to -20 to -30 F. Love you too, Mother Nature.
But Mommy always said it's good to share!

Drive to pick up Hubs this morning was scary, but I survived. Everything that was plowed became ice overnight, and then it started getting windy with light snow. The snow was blowing all over the road, not sticking, but so you couldn't see the roadway. It was a swirling, shifting mass, sort of felt like driving through clouds. Kind of pretty, if it wasn't so scary.

At least locally, we're not supposed to get any more snow, but the ice isn't going away until Friday at the earliest. As long as they keep on top of the sanding, though, I can handle a bit of ice.

-30C here right now (-23F I think). No windchill as it's dead calm, but if the slightest breeze picks up we're into "five minute frostbite" territory.

No snow though. Or not much, and it's too cold for it to be slippery (which is why I'm not skiing today as planned; just too dang cold). Snow at this temperature makes the *weirdest* squeaking, creaking sounds!

Calgary is a fun place to live. Really.
