I started exercising last month because, well, I was meeting up with a guy. I wanted him to see a new me, different than last time. He flaked. I haven't. I have definition in arms, legs, butt etc. I keep this up, I am changing shape. And finding a job, staying in the job, and keep working on myself.

Good start to at least my bike commuting resolution....rode to work yesterday on the coldest day of our winter so far, and it was a lovely ride. Even though many people were wearing long pants and long-sleeved shirts and sweathshirts and jackets, I rode into town in shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt, and felt GREAT!

Of course, after work, and a couple of beers at my newest favorite bar, and the temperature being much, much lower than it had been in the morning, I froze my ASS off riding home, even with my awesome sweatshirt on. But to my credit, I DID ride, rather than calling a cab as I was tempted to. (Had I simply gone straight home rather than down a couple cold ones, I might have been fine....long busy day at work, and I was still physically revved up afterwards, and might have done the ride home faster and without the sweathshirt....but after sitting on my ass for a couple hours drinking porter and munching on bar snacks, I had cooled way down. Silly rabbit.)

I will drink more craft beer.
That's my favorite resolution so far. And I would join you in that resolution if that wasn't already a major part of my lifestyle.

My friend always does a word of the year and she's pestering me to do one (lol...there's a surprise, someone pestering me)...but if I do choose a word it's going to be "Change".
My word of the year is "libation."

*Try Archery - Always wanted to try it.
I LOVE archery. It was part of one (or more?) of the gym classes I was required to take my first 3 years of high school, and for some reason, I have always loved it. Don't get me wrong, I'm AWFUL at it, but I still love it. Wish there was a way to practice it around here, actually.

Another archery fan here Actually need to get my bow restrung, I might give it to my bf. I'm too weak for it, its a 60# draw. Bought on a whim with poker winnings.

My new years resolutions were to

            a) Keep better track of my accounting (so that every EOY I don't go "aaaaagh")

            b) Exercise more

            c) do more hobby time

Exercising's doing well so far, we got this HealthRider thing, and frankly it's been kicking my butt. ><

              Let's see.

              1) Lose weight this year (I would like to, in total, lose 30-40 lbs, at least).
              2) Exercise at least every other day, hopefully every day.
              3) Do more singing, it makes me happy.
              4) Get a job.
              5) Get my license.
              6) Move.
              7) Work on my mental health issues.
              8) Become happy with myself as a person (I honestly think this might be the hardest one ).

I forgot one. Watch all of the new seasons of Doctor Who. And try not to pout, cry, and boycott the Eleventh Doctor.

I drink a decent amount of beer already. I just think there is some room for improvement.

David Tennant is still my favorite by far, but I've gotten used to Matt Smith. He's quite amusing.

Don't. There were a lot of great episodes with the Eleventh Doctor, including his premier in "The Eleventh Hour," "The Doctor's Wife," and "A Good Man Goes to War." Not to mention the last two Christmas specials.

Oh, as do I. What I was saying is I already go out of my way to try new and varied craft beers on just about a daily basis.

A friend of mine refuses to watch anything after Eccleston, since according to him he's the pinnacle of Whoness. I call him fool. HE HASN'T EVEN WATCHED BLINK!

Blink may be the single best Doctor Who episode ever done.

Even though the producers later ruined the Weeping Angels for me.

Blink was epic. I can't wait to show that one to my roomie (currently halfway through season 3 of Buffy... Doctor who is next... Don't think she's go for anything else.)

"Blink" is the reason I almost swore off Doctor Who for life, since my friend decided that was the PERFECT introduction at 3 a.m. in the dark. I had nightmares. I could not leave the bathroom for over 30 minutes because I was convinced there would be a weeping angel on the other side.

If that had been my intro to Doctor Who, I would have been hooked immediately, rather than gradually getting into it as I actually did.
