He was a wonderful teacher. His Facebook page is filling with tributes to him from family, friends, and the people he taught over the years. Everyone loved him.

My favorite teacher from high school has died.

I hadn't thought of this happening. I'm in touch (via Facebook) with a few other teachers, and this man - oh, he was such a good teacher! He was a fine human being, with a sharp sense of humor and a knack for getting the most out of us. A friend of mine was very enthusiastic when he showed them Monty Python as part of a lesson.

Oh, no. Not another one. And here I had hoped that 2012 would be The Year Nobody Died.
