So, Monday my mother is going into the hospital for an operation. Part of her intestine is going to be removed because of a cancerous growth. They haven't said anything about any other growths but I know that the posibility is there.

I know that the hospital has a good reputation but it's still worrying...

Will be praying for her! Big hugs for you as well, keep your chin up, if it has a good reputation, its for a good reason. Hospitals very easily get bad reps, a good rep is hard to keep.

Thank you, everyone. I just got back from the hospital, they were doing pre-op tests, and the surgeon thinks that everything is going as planned. I'm taking it as a good sign that the doc is confident.

Update: surgery happened Saturday morning. Surgeon's assistant said it went better than expected. She's feeling a little post-op pain but nothing seems out of the ordinary.
