A few days ago, my GM called me into his office and asked how I liked being a cashier. I said I enjoyed it. I liked it more than my last job. He said that was good. Then he said this:
"One of the people in Electronics is leaving soon. Based on your experience, you would be a great fit. Would you be interested?"
Bear in mind I've been at this job about 3 weeks. I considered and said, "Can I say 'Yes!' enough?"
He laughed.
Today, he finalized my transfer and I start there on July 21st. It's a $0.20/hr raise and I still don't have to dress up any more than what I'm doing now (i.e. I can wear jean shorts and t-shirts). I can't be happier.
