My father said he was out in the heat doing some yard work when he got dizzy & threw up!! He's 70 years old! He was acting as if he was proud of the fact that he got sick outside. It's 95 degrees outside & the weather people on tv said that this heat is especially brutal to infants & older people.
I don't know what he was thinking. He didn't understand what all the fuss was about when my brother snapped at him.

He gave himself heat stroke. He needs to be checked out by a doctor!

Maybe he sees it as a way of proving his self worth at his age. Yeah it was a dumb idea, but to him it means he's not a burden and can still be self sufficient. Like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. Hopefully he finds safer ways of validating his independence.

I agree with the previous poster, get him checked out at a hospital!
