The weatherfolk were wrong about the projected start time. Not thinking, I had panicked and made it a point to get home early today, then come to find out "Oh woops sorry it's not going to start snowing until late tonight!"

Oh well, I got what I needed done, got to spend some time with the bf and say goodbye to his kids and they should be able to go back to their mom's safely before it gets too bad, so everyone should be fine.

They're forecasting snow to hit our area (Fairfax County, VA) on Wednesday, some of the amounts I've heard have been something like 10 inches.

All I can say is, "I'll believe it when I see it."

And no, folks, the above does NOT represent my opinion of temps in Key West, but rather the bitching I hear from both locals and tourists whenever the temperature is anything other than perfect. They bitch that it's too hot when it isn't that hot, and that it's too cold when it isn't that cold. Basically, both residents of and visitors to Key West are a big bunch of pussies.

I mean, I don't like the cold, but when people are bitching about it in the SEVENTIES? Really? That's just weak.

We had fresh snowfall here as well this weekend. I went shopping yesterday, decided to take the bus rather than walking, and found that the buses were running nowhere near their schedules. (The stop bays get cleared the least, so there is always bad traction there, which slows them down.)

But they *were* still running. I've never seen them be completely cancelled due to mere weather.

Looks like the big storm is hitting for my Birthday. Damn storm better not ruin it.

They really aren't calling for much snowfall or rain. Just seems like super strong winds that could screw up power.

Yeah, the weatherfolk are all calling for snow tonight and tomorrow. I've heard everything from 4-6 inches to 10-12. I always take the view of "I'll believe it when I see it."

Add to that the fact that I've seen flurries every weekend the past month, it's like Old Man Winter said, "Fuck you, groundhog, I still got six more weeks in me."
