Well, believe it or don't, UNR doesn't have a hospitality management program (how the hell that works, I don't know). I had been planning since my accounting degree is getting me nowhere fast (actually it is dragging me down because it is getting me no forward momentum at the same time as it has added debt) and was thinking of getting a second degree in hospitality management. Considering the tourism industry in Nevada, that should be a pretty good combination for starting an actual career (I refuse to call anything that doesn't allow me to completely support myself a career... a job yes, but not a career)... but none of the local schools offer degrees in hospitality management... so, wondering if any of y'alls know of any reasonably priced online schools, that will accept transfer credits (no point in redoing the entire degree when a lot of my classes I took for my accounting degree can apply to hospitality management as well), that aren't just known to be paper mills?

I am sort of having the opposite problem. Started going for a Bachelors degree in Accounting, switched to Hotel, Restaurant, & Tourism Management.
After graduation, I got a job as an AGM at a hotel, and then the economic downturn resulted in a lay off, and I have been unable to find work in the hotel industry where I can also make ends meet.
I really think I would have done better with an Accounting degree and try not to regret my decision to go back to school in the first place. (I had PERFECT credit before...now I don't.
)
Sorry for hijacking. Hope you have better luck! (I am well aware that geography is a factor too, and in fact Nevada has been suggested to me!)

I applaud anyone looking to go back to school, and I'm sure there are good online programs, but I've honestly never heard anything good about Pheonix.
Just that the credits almost never transfer anywhere else, it was a hassle for people to get proof they took the courses, etc.
Good luck in your search!

How can none of the local schools offer Hospitality programs in RENO? That makes no sense.
