  • Car Insurance Endorsement?

I'm already paying a ridiculous amount of money due to being a male from New Jersey. So I got my bill in and it went up $60 but whatever. Average insurance cost in NJ went up this year. I just pay yearly for a discount. I logged onto my account online, look at my invoice and pay that which was the amount due. I didn't look at my transaction history though and now there's a line that says Endorsement - $668. When I look at my billing and payments overview, it says Total Amount Due - $0.00. However when I go to My Account, it says Account Balance $668. Since my bill was $XXXX.XX and my payment says ($XXXX.XX), I'm assuming that it's a charge, not a credit. And I've never heard of an endorsement as far as car insurance goes. I moved last year but I'm still in the same state. I had an accident last year, but that was all handled way before my bill came out. I even had a letter from them saying my accident was forgiven. I got married last year so if anything my insurance should have gone down but I don't have my wife on my policy.

What the hell is this? I'm going to go ballistic if I owe another $668 for no reason.

Do you have a local agent or did you get your policy online? I would suggest one of 2 things-if you have a local agent, make arrangements to stop in and see them. They are the best to explain any and all charges. 2-if you purchased your policy online, there should be a "contact us" link that you should be able to find a number to call to inquire. I used to work in All Lines insurance as an admin assistant and do not remember ever seeing a charge for endorsements, but Ky may differ from where you are.

I have an agent. I was emailing him back and forth and he said he believes it's due to my change in address. I'm guessing my area has higher rates because people around here can't drive to save their lives. I can't drive to or from work without seeing at least one accident and it's a relatively short trip.

this site explains endorsements, and change of address isn't one of them.
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

          Moving isn't a life change?
