Specifically bermudagrass lawns in the south?
Here's my situation: My lawn is supposed to be bermudagrass...but it's being overrun by weeds.
I've considered just killing the entire yard, weeds and all, and starting over, but in our back yard my wife has some Jasmine I don't wanna kill.
I found this link:
http://tomlinsonbomberger.com/to-ove...our-ugly-lawn/
That basically says go through two rounds of spraying with weed killer, then mowing as short as possible, then dethatching, then seeding, and then fertilizing.
Excuse the pun, but that seems like a little bit of overkill.
I'm just looking for a good way to get rid of the weeds, and make the lawn nice.
Any thoughts?

You could ask at a store/garden department and hope they know their stuff, too.
