My grandma who is apparently not taking care of herself very well (a diabetic who has apparently decided she doesn't want to cook for herself), and hit my uncle recently, and told him she's always hated him, he wants me to take in. He's afraid his wife will lose her teaching license if Ngran (narcissistic grandma) "reports" that they're being mean to her, she could apparently be in some danger of losing it.
The trailer we live in technically belongs to my Ngran (who is marching steadily into senility, I think, my uncle seems to think she's relapsed to a younger age) so we might have to vacate the trailer if we don't take her in. It would be better than welcoming in Ngran. How to describe her, really...think of all the worst aspects of Al's family that I've talked about before, and imagine them in one person. She's just gotten nastier with age...there's like, no one who would take her in and they don't seem to want to put her into a home even though it really sounds like she needs to be in one!
We have a possible friend of Al's in Daytona we could move in with (our only other option is Al's family...that shit ain't happenin'), and start over with and strangely, it almost feels like the better option. Al sure as hell isn't going to have an easy time transitioning to female here in Big Christian University City, where LGBT-friendly therapists or anything tend to be pushed out in a big fuckin' hurry. There are a total of THREE such therapists here and one is described as "an utter loon" by some LGBT people we know. But if we did move it would only be with about a couple more months of unemployment left, roughly $1,500 (yay married tax returns), and a car.
So...good thoughts, please?
