  • so...hm.

soooo...about 4 years agoish i worked for dollar tree. it wasn't a horrible job. in fact, i quite enjoyed it (to a point). i quit because my friend got me a job where she worked and it payed like, fifty cents an hour more or something.
here's the thing. i'm currently without a job. i've been without one since april 2nd. i'm bored out of my mind. i also know that if i go in to the dtree i used to work, whine and beg a little bit (my manager adored me), i'd probably get my job back.
    is this wise?

No, stay home, be bored and paint your toenails all day! /jk

Of course... go... if it's what you want (assuming job would be extra income) why not try it. If it doesn't work out, you're no worse off than right now. Right?

Why wouldn't you go for it? You haven't mentioned any downsides.

holy freaking crap. so i went by. what's to loose, right? the store was a mess the people that were working were mostly taking up space. one checker with a line half-way to the back. it was ridiculous! i looked around, bought a mtn dew, and left. no way am i working there again. i'd go crazy in under a week.

Dudette, you just describe my store every day I DIDN'T have a shift. It was a MESS if I wasn't there to clean it all up and make it pretty.

But I'll never work with Dollar Tree again. At least not under my last Regional Manager (KILL STAB MAIM).

Don'cha get me wrong. I loved my job, I really did. I just needed more hours and longer shifts (I left when Regional Manager decided that part-timers weren't allowed a shift longer than 5 hours and this was during the time when gas prices were so high and he refused to let my SM mark me as Full-time).

As long as you left your old job under good terms, give it a shot to get a job there again.
