My tiny little netbook died a couple months ago and I just have not gotten over it. Evidently, they do no make the type I had anymore. I'm waffling between getting one of these or a regular laptop. But I just love the smaller size of the thing. Anyone have one of these? Do you like it?

I have a Dell mini. I really like it, but I admit that I don't use it all that much. (I had planned on using it in classes, but the University's technology is a few decades behind and they aren't compatible.) It's good for basics like word processing and internet browsing. Very handy for traveling; I took mine to LA with me. It takes some time to get adjusted to the keyboard, because it's so much smaller."Even arms dealers need groceries." ~ Ziva David, NCIS

Yeah, the husband says the tiny keyboard (I had the smallest one they made at the time) is what make them discontinue that model. People didn't like typing on it.
I admit it did take a little practice, but I could do it fine once I got used to it. And the battery lasted forever. We were at the Sharepoint convention (well, the husband was, I was just a hanger on) and we swapped machines so he could have battery power all day long. His laptop would give out fairly quickly. My netbook could last through his day.

I have a Dell mini insprion 11 (I think that's the number).
I love mine. Even tho the keyboard is slightly obnoxious, I'm getting used to it-- it could be a hell of a lot worse-- and I'm also getting used to the pad-mouse-- I also am not fond of those. It allows me to use the internet wherever there is wifi on my campus, which is essentially anywhere. My battery typically lasts 5 hours.

EDIT: It has windows 7 on it. I haven't gotten used to 7 just yet, I still run the last iteration of windows on my main/desktop.
ANOTHER edit: when I bought mine, it was online. I just got the webcam, a carry case, and the promise of replacement should something happen within 2 years. I didn't go in for "Oh, let us install useless softwear," or "recycle in 2 years, only 30 dollars!" that stuff. They'll even try to sell you "oh, we can totally switch all your files over for 50 bucks..."
