I cannot take antibiotics for some reason, every time I've been given them I've had horrible diahrrea and the urpies (pardon the overshare).

I haven't an issue with taking Aleve or Ibuprofen instead but I have a very high vitamin C intake, so I'm not too happy about reducing that. I take lots of vitamic C because I can't do antibiotics and I usually try not to take cold meds in general, so I just try to prevent it altogether.

My doc said I shouldn't have a lot of bleeding because I've been on Depo for so long and have gone almost 7 years without a period, and that if I take it every day at the same time, it shouldn't even happen.

I have moderate adult acne, I'm really hoping the Pill can help clear it up.

I don't think I'm invincible, but I've been on Depo for almost 7 years and that stuff can really mess with your fertility, and I am taking my first Pill while I still have a week left on Depo as backup protection.

I can't take acetaminophen because I have a liver disease, and I can't take hormonal birth control for the same reason.

It could be that your liver helps to process both of these medications and when you stress out your liver it can't function as well, thus not processing your BC as well as it should, thus making it less effective.

I have no idea about the vitamin C issue though.

The pharmacist found no documentation of acetomenaphin affecting the Pill, so she said go ahead and keep using it, although I usually use ibuprofen or naproxen sodium. She also said I can still drink all the OJ I want, it's moreso extremely high doses of Vitamin C that can make the Pill a little less effective.

It's the first time I've heard of a vitamin C issue w/ the pill. I'm on OvCon. I LOVE it!!! No side effects, just smooth sailing for me. I haven't taken any antibiotics while on the pill, but I always hear about how they an nullify or cancel out the effectiveness of the pill and the same thing with St.John's Wort.
