  • Literary agent/publishing for children's stories?

Didn't want to horn in on the other publishing thread so have started this one.

I have a few really simple children's stories. They are not illustrated (don't know how to draw ). How do I go around either self-publishing (have to find an illustrator) or find an agent.

    Which way should I go?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me!
And you're welcome (in regards to my avatar).

Kids' books are not what I write (soooooo not what I write ) but I can say not having an illustrator is not necessarily a problem; many children's publishers accept written works and then pair them with an illustrator they already work with.

My only other advice is to look at The Writer's Digest Writer's Market for Children's Authors and Illustrators. The 2012 edition should have come out back in November, most libraries carry them.
