      Depends on the state, OP can google theirs, and see what's allowed and what's not. ^^

        True, though I got the idea from the news when the parents planted an audio recorder in their son's back pocket to find out that his teacher was humiliating him in front of the class.

        Don't remember where it was, but the media ate it up, illegal or not.
