FWB can range from anywhere from almost-anonymous booty calls all the way to being a couple in everything but the formal attachment.

It's possible that he might have some issue regarding commitment or has been or witnessed something terrible that happened because of a relationship gone sour. The thing to do at this point would be to understand how he defines "relationship" in that usage. Because, to be quite honest, just knowing each others' names is a relationship of a very low order.

Former relationships are a sore spot, so I don't think inquiring about them at this point is a good idea and will make him shut me out. However I do recall his latest one, he was with this spring, and they had a huge falling out because they were going to a movie and he invited everyone; she got pissed because she wanted it to be just the two of them. So maybe he just doesn't want this:

Or we'll see each other a few more times and it'll fizzle. It could either be "Oh well, those were fun times and now I have all these fond memories" and we go our separate ways, or get bored with the messing around and just end up in each other's geek circles. Or who knows. I will admit though, it is really fun having someone to flirt with for a change, especially after chasing my friend from the virgin thread for over two and a half years.

Get a guy drunk, slap and grope him all night, and he still makes sure to sit in a chair as soon as he takes you home and not cuddle in the loveseat, yeah, don't think anything is gonna happen there. I suspect the man Mr. Biscuit introduce to me as his 'older half brother' is anything but

Geek boy of the swords and lightsabers, however . . . well, you know. Haha.
