It's a secret among us mods and admins. It was put in place after a troll/spammer/stalker invasion, and we feel that if the criteria for coming off moderation was public knowledge, that would give them an advantage we don't want them to have.

It was originally going to be just a temporary measure, but it solved quite a few problems for us, even if it does mean a bit more work for us.
