    New ex-lurker

    Hello good people of the various service industries. I am a long time lurker, and I had to break down and join today.
    I have worked in the service industry; hospitality, retail, food service, and public library service, for the majority of my working life (about 20 years).
    I am currently a book shucker in New England. I've got about 12 years under my belt and a lot of stories, gripes, and vents to share.
    Customers suck, but library patrons are a different type of hell..

      Welcome BL.

      There are a couple of librarians here, as you're probably aware. Their stories often irk me - I hate the thought of people abusing a system as sacred as libraries.
