  • I'm new here- hi

I've actually been reading this forum for quite a while, but because I'm still in high school (I live in China and go to an international school- I know that in the US people can get part-time jobs while still in high school, but not so much here) I don't have a retail job and thus no actual stories to share. That's changing- my school set up a student internship program so for 2 weeks during the semester I get to go work somewhere (unpaid- 2 weeks of no homework is reward enough).

I have to go work at the yellow-tag store so I'm setting up this account in preparation for the deluge of tourists and locals with their tech needs and problems I know I'll get (the store I'll be working at is the only one in the whole country- it's not too different from the ones in the states except that it has 4 floors with the bathroom inconvieniently stuck in a corner of the top floor- and that it occupies the 3rd-6th floors of a building with a cellphone retailer on the 2nd floor and a Motorola store on the first). At least I'm not actually on the sales floor- I'm going to be doing repairs and tech support and stuff (so I've been told so far).

BTW- I've only been through that store as a customer before. Could anyone tell me what I should be expecting when I actually start there (any horror stories or things to look out for)?

    to CS, jamar

I think everyone's experience is different.

Not having lived in China, I am not familiar with the mindset of their customers, so I have no advice to offer you, other than remain calm, and then come tell us all about it.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.
