Expressing "Hey y'all" and gladness to be here. Got here from the comic, which I found through the artist's regular strip. God, I love her stuff.
I'm a 20 year old college student, been working part-time off and on since I was seventeen. While my first job (under-the-table and held but a week) was a glorious example of Employers Suck and my second was only held for four days 'cause they realized they didn't actually need anybody new, I improved my track record with two years at a coffee house (CorpCoffee35, when I start writing) and now almost seven months at FranchisedHotel. I worked for four days at Starbucks when CorpCoffee35 sold their leases to them, but quickly found myself to not be suitable to the cult mentality. They made coffee Not Fun. Maybe it was just my store.
Regardless, I have a wealth of stories from my days as a coffee gopher in a coffeeshop based in a snooty-artsy-rich-folk mall (especially during the holiday season) and am always getting more as a desk clerk, being the night-shifter as I am.
Though I took the night shift with the intent of getting my studies done in the downtime, I admit that I've been distracted, of late, by your archives. Makes me hope never to work a call-in center. Never-ever.
Anyway, you continue to be a source of stress relief, entertainment, and education by example. Neat!
