  • This just in: bitching is the best.

    Hi all!

I've been reading this forum for a while now and finally decided to join up. I'm a uni student training to be a journalist but like the majority of students, have a part-time job to pay the bills (plus a goddamn book addiction!)

I work at my local convenience store which I have to say is a brilliant job - but some customers drive me insane. Also, I used to work at a PC store where the customers were ten times worse!

I'm really looking forward to sharing stories with you guys. Some people make me so angry, but bitching about them makes it all better!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...sometimes the only thing that gets you through the day is the thought, "I have GOT to post this one!!"

ps I am also a book addict...I fed it by working for a bookstore...they let us borrow the hardcovers...One of the few things I miss about the retail side of it...

Trust me, you'd just kiss your paycheck goodbye.

Of course, since that PT job is bringing in 'extra' money and you have a discount, that means you have MORE books without spending any 'real' money!

          Welcome!

That's what's so great about being able to borrow them! As long as it's hardcover, you can sign it out (they hang on to the jacket). And by the time it's in softcover, odds are you can get it from the library.

That said, there are some people whose ID numbers I had memorized from ringing them up so often. They used to use Social Security Numbers...I had one woman a tad frightened...
