Hi, I'm a middle-aged grocery clerk in -- you guessed it -- a small town. I won't name where because then everyone in town would know who is writing this. I really like 99% of the customers who come through my line, but it's the other 1% that make my ears bleed.

I'd like to say "Thank you" to TPTB here for lending me a place to being amongst some of the brightest and wittiest and nicest people I could ever imagine.

I'm also from a small town.
It's great, because it gives us a chance to really know our customers, and as you say, the majority are great, it's only a small percentage who suck...but boy, do they suck!!

Anyway, I look forward to your stories.
