I've been following this board for some time and am quite impressed by the relative order, civility, spirit of community, and the fairness of response. Also the variety of inventive invective. At the moment I have a particular fondness for 'douchenozzle' though I'm not sure why, nor do I want to consider a literal definition too closely.
I've never worked the 'other' side of the counter, but also never got the memo that it is somehow demeaning to do so. I'm retired and rather ancient, but spent most of my life messing with computers in one way or another. As I've said in one of my first posts, all that means is that I know a lot of stuff that is no longer useful. Fortunately, at my age I forget a lot.
I read the fora for entertainment, amazement and education. As a customer, I try not to suck, and am now trying even harder to be positively unsucky. I've even cut waaay back on the lame jokes. Really. Mostly. Sometimes.
Oh yes, my screen name, Umingmaq, is the Inuktitut word for Musk Ox, and translates literally as The Bearded One. You know, Inuktitut, the language of the Inuit, those people up there in Nunavut.

You are a funny, funny man (I'm presuming man, based on the beard).
