So I'm new to this board and to retail work. I've been working in retail for a mere 2 weeks and I already know that customers sucks.

I work at a department outlet store in possible the worst department to work in, Linens and Housewares.

Even though we have bright pink signs with bold letters that request that you don't open the packages of linens (see through packages btw) and instead ask for assistance there are still tons of open linens all over the place. Naturally though these same customers will come to you asking the price, or the size of these items. If customers kept the damn things in their bags or asked for assistance in opening them to see them then everyone would know sizes and prices no problem and wouldn't have to whine at me because stuff is "so expensive" or more than they thought it would be.

There's plenty of suck to go around in the service sector. But there's plenty of venting you can do about them here. Welcome aboard!

I saw your name somewhere else and I knew you must work in some sort of retail establishment...

Why open sheets? They come in clear plastic and they tell you the size on the label! The only thing I do is unzip the bag to see how soft they are. Then I zip it back up like a good little non-sucky person.
