  • Hello from ex-retail

Greetings all!! LOve the site (I do like the fratching site as well....thank you for having an off topic site)

I was in retail for....oh, several years....I have recently escaped to an office job (its not much better, folks) but still bear my scars.....in fact, when I meet up with friends from my last stint at retail (its been almost 2 years) we still trade tales and shudder.

My new job I don't really deal with customers, I deal with folks who deal with customers. and oh....the stupidty.......*sigh*

    Anyway....awesome site,.....will enjoy posting here

I still work for the company, but I escaped the retail side of it a few years ago. I don't miss it either...

I did work at a bookstore as well....I loved the customers who couldn't and/or refused to read

Yeah, they're great. Honestly, though, if I had to choose an area of retail, it would still be books. No question. Unfortunately I can't work part time in the store. Wonder if there would be a problem if I got a holiday job at the competition.....

True, the bookstore was fun, there are some antics there I miss, and most of the customers weren't nearly as evil as when I worked at the watch store
