Call center worker here, for a software company that I'm not naming. Although we really did call it (something)butt when the executives weren't around. I dealt with technical support and general customer service, and kept a record of some of the worst (and funniest) sucky customers I encountered, mostly as a form of therapy. Hopefully y'all will be amused by my stories - I've certainly been amused by yours.
The best story I have is my coworker's explanation of an SC encounter - I don't know what happened to prompt it, or even if it was original to him:
She accused me of lying to her.
I said that if I were lying to her, I'd say that she had a lovely voice and was a pleasure to talk to.
She called me a son of a *****, and said she'd see me in hell.
I told her I was already there.
She decided to cancel her account.
