  • Another one stumbles in

Just found the site from the "stumble", and rather enjoyed the stories.

I work in a Drive thru for a fast food place in the USA. Not Mcdonalds or Burger King, but suffice to say on some days, i wish i actually could "go overboard"

I have a few funny stories to tell, but most of the time, ill prob be looking, not posting. I dont have as many stories as you all do, but, then again, since im not a manager, i usually pawn off the bad customers on my manager
Although i've actually had a few customers actually call my manager and complain that im too nice in the drive thru! (yes, this is true. They said i was too nice, and that that isnt how service at a drive thru is supposed to be handled, they wanted someone less nice)

    Anyways, time to lurk!

    Welcome!

I think getting a complaint about being "too nice" should earn some sort of customer service merit badge.

How the heck is a manager supposed to even respond to that one without cracking up?
The best karma is letting a jerk bash himself senseless on the wall of your polite indifference.

The stupid is strong with this one.

Im honestly not sure, i think she just said "ok". And i know who those 2 people were. I was never nice to them again. All i said was, in a low monotone totally unexcited voice "Your total is" "You want any sauces."

I haven't seen one guy, but the other guy came back a few times. I havent seen him in a month or so

      Edit:

Yeah, its rather stupid. But i actively try to be nice to people in drive thru. I've been working a year, and im one of 2 people left from near the date when i started. Besides, never know when you will see one of those people u were nice to. I sometimes see them working in other places and they are either nicer to me, or give me discounts )))))))
Oooh, and a better one, i also got a complaint because i gave out too many ketchup to someone!!! I've got one or 2 SC stories for when my account here gets off this probationary period or w/e. I dont wanna make any mod's job harder with 2 more of my posts in queue. lol

I've heard this happen once or twice. It's rare but it has happened. You just can't please everyone. Though I agree with Dips, that one deserves some sort of merit badge of some sort.
