  • Hello

Hello from the funeral business. I can't really say we have to many SC's in my line of work, but every now and then you get one "winner", that is never happy.
    Catch ya's later!

    First off welcome.

Second eh. I'd give them some leeway to be SC. It would be incredibly emontional to lose somone close.

For the most part I give them a lot of leeway for just that reason really. It's never easy to loose a loved one Everyone knows how it feels.
The only time I REALLY have an issue with someone that comes in is when everything you do is just wrong, wrong, wrong, and then the complaints start rolling in. Mostly its over the DC's (Death Certificates). Considering that the Funeral Home is just the "go between" we have no control over how long it will take for the paperwork to come in from the doctors, Office of the Medical Investigators, or ever the Criminal Investigators, but you'd be surprised how many people expect them to be in before the funerals even begin. When they don't get them they start making complaints to the BBB, the Tribal Office, or who ever they feel like complaining to.
We really have some of the best families that come in though. Some have even taken a liking to a few of us and started teaching us their native language, which is GREAT, since I love to learn new things. Really most of my complaints will more than likely be in the "Morons in Management" section or in other areas.
I really do appreciate you all being here though it truely does ease the pain after dealing with either my Boss or my niece who can be even worse than the Boss.

Which tribe is this? I'm guessing one of the Apache tribes? (Former Southwesterner here [from Phoenix Arizona])

I too look forward to your stories.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Do you ever wonder what you'd do if one of your customers suddenly 'sat up'?

No? Just me?.... and that's why I couldn't work in a funeral home.
Make a list of important things to do today.
At the top of your list, put 'eat chocolate'
Now, you'll get at least one thing done today
